Japhet School Students Collaborate to Write a Book

After losing their annual spring musical to the coronavirus pandemic, students from Japhet School in Clawson banded together to write a book on staying connected.

Using the character traits they learned at Japhet School while dealing with distance learning, the entire school wrote a book together. It tells the tale of best friends who are staying home like people all across the world, but must figure out a way to stay connected.

The book, Across the Distance, filled the void from loss of the school’s annual spring musical to the coronavirus pandemic

“This is an outstanding example of the desire to continue a tradition under difficult circumstances and finding a delightful manner in which to accomplish it. The result is a joyful journey in book form that brings happiness, a respect for friendship and appreciation for the abilities of our students,” Kerri G. Vizena, head of school, says in a news release.
