Target L.O.L. Surprise! Scavenger Hunt Hits Metro Detroit Stores

The toys are on lots of holiday wish lists this year. Get kids in the spirit with the Target L.O.L. Surprise! scavenger hunt event Nov. 10, 2018.

If your kids are LOL-obsessed – and not the text-speak acronym for “laugh out loud” but the cutesy little dolls packaged inside layered surprise balls – then you’ll want to hit up the Target L.O.L. Surprise! scavenger hunt on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.

From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on this date, most Target stores, including those around metro Detroit and Ann Arbor, are hosting an Eye Spy Pets L.O.L. Surprise! scavenger hunt where kids will find “surprise stations” around the store and decode secret messages for clues. The clues will ultimately lead to an L.O.L. Surprise! Pet.

The event will also include giveaways, a selfie station and “special unboxing moments” every 30 minutes. Guests can also purchase exclusive L.O.L. Surprise! Pet balls while supplies last.

Wondering if your store is participating? Target.com notes that almost all of its stores participate in kids’ events, with few exceptions, but you can check Target’s event locations and search by ZIP code or city and state to be sure.

So what’s so special about these L.O.L. Surprises, anyway? It’s all about the unboxing, with each ball containing a tiny adorable doll (or pet) along with coordinating accessories for it. Retailing at less than $10 for the standard-size surprise ball, each doll is a bit different and you never know which one you’ll get.

L.O.L. Surprise dolls were first released by toymaker MGA Entertainment in December 2016, CBS News reported, and they were a hot-ticket item in Christmas 2017 – especially the coveted L.O.L. Big Surprise, which retailed for $69.99 and quickly sold out during the holiday shopping season.

And 2018 seems to be no exception, with L.O.L. collectible toys already predicted to be a must-have on kids’ wish lists. Metro Parent is even giving away the L.O.L. Surprise! Bigger Surprise in one of our 2018 holiday contests!

Do your kids love the L.O.L. Surprise! toys? Do you think you’ll take them to the Target L.O.L. Surprise! scavenger hunt? Tell us in the comments.
