A new party bus for kids is making the rounds in metro Detroit. Purposed Party brings its decked-out bus to your location, where girls get on board with their friends for hours of self-contained fun.
This new brand of “girl power on wheels,” which is based on of Southfield, also puts the fun into high gear with its extra focus on advocacy for girls.
Themed girly party options – available for birthdays, play dates, Girl Scout gatherings and more – include a “ParTEA” with tea and fine china, a “Pamper Party” with facials and makeovers or even a PJ party with karaoke and a selfie station.
There are also “Sweet Sixteen” offerings and parties focused on etiquette, Hollywood, princesses and much more. It’s all set in a “mobile utopia” that includes a state-of-the-art sound system, “glam station” and more.
Launched in September 2018 by owner Loretta Forbes, Purposed Party emphasizes empowerment and building self-esteem – encouraging girls to be “their own kind of beautiful.”
“I truly believe when girl power is activated, girls can change the world,” Forbes says. “There is no power like girl power. Research has shown that the more educated and empowered girls become, the better our society becomes.
“We are indeed the heartbeat of the universe,” she continues, “and therefore we must continue to instill positivity in girls so that they can be empowered.”

Purposed Party packages include party staff and all necessary supplies – guests just need to board the bus and be ready for fun.
