Romeo Peach Festival in Downtown Romeo

The sweetest annual of them all, the Romeo Peach Festival, is back in full swing this Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29-Sept. 2, 2019.

The 88th annual Romeo Peach Festival in downtown Romeo will bring forth plenty of fun Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29-Sept. 2, 2019, with activities, entertainment and, of course, lots of delicious peaches!

First and foremost: don’t forget to check out the peach pies that Romeo is famous for.

Then, kick it off on Thursday with the 28th annual Peach Festival Fun Run, which features both a 5K or 10K race to participate in. Starting at 5 p.m., you can also sample beers from around the world and, at 4 p.m., check out the midway.

On Friday, the carnival continues from 4-11 p.m. alongside other great family fun including trolley rides, a mini tractor pull and a fireworks display at dusk.

Saturday, Kidsfest begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. There are plenty of fun activities, free for kids 12 and under, like relay races, craft stations and inflatables. There will also be kid-friendly performances and a petting farm to enjoy.

Frontier Town’s 29th annual Labor Day Craft Show also happens Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and a Mega 80’s concert shuts down the day starting at 8 p.m. (Tickets are $5).

On Sunday, don’t miss the classic car show that beings at 7:45 a.m. At 10 a.m., take a crack at a corn maze over at Westview Orchards. But be sure to head back to Main Street by 8 p.m. for the night parade.

Labor Day Monday, the children’s parade begins at 10 a.m., and the regular parade starts at 1:30 p.m., both on Main Street in downtown Romeo. Expect plenty of cool floats, bands and groups marching.

Admission is free, though ride wristbands are $25. There will be free shuttles from several locations around town on Saturday and Sunday.
