Let’s Chill Winter Fest in Downtown Milan

The city of Milan offers ice carving displays, winter games, a bonfire and other seasonal fun during its Let's Chill Winter Fest, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2020.

Are you looking for a fun winter blowout to celebrate all things snowy? Find the seasonal fun your family is seeking at Milan’s annual Let’s Chill Winter Fest, which runs throughout the downtown area Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2020.

This annual February event, which is presented by the City of Milan Youth Council, kicks off on a Friday with The Big Freeze at Tolan Square from 6 to 10 p.m. This adult-only party features live music by the Detroit Social Club Band – plus a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and some delicious eats.

Guests who attend The Big Freeze must be 21 or older and must purchase a ticket in advance for $30. You can also rent a heated igloo from 5-7 p.m. for $500 to enjoy your drinks in.

Families get their chance at fun on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. Swing by and get your fill of pancakes and then peruse some handcrafted wares on display at this event’s Artisan Fair.

After, swing by Wilson Park from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for ice games including ice mini golf, ice Skee Ball, ice Tic Tac Toe and much more. There will also be a petting zoo at Wilson park during this time as well as Girl Scout cookie sales, ice carving demonstrations (10:30 a.m.) and a big bonfire (11 a.m.)

And in between events, you can take a trolley rid through town, fill up on delicious eats from JR’s Concessions food truck and Ray’s Red Hots food truck, and wander the downtown area for shopping, live music and other entertainment. A wine walk for grown-ups and live music by Rochelle Clark will close out the event.

Milan’s Let’s Chill Winter Fest runs 5-10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in downtown Milan. Admission on Saturday is free but fees apply for some events.
