Halloween Hoot at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve in Rochester

Have a hoot of a time at the annual Halloween Hoot event, which features trick-or-treating, an autumn walk and storytelling skits at the Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Oct. 18-20, 2019.

A tradition of Halloween fun continues during the Halloween Hoot at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Oct. 18-20, 2019, and this beloved Oakland County Halloween event is one your family won’t want to miss!

Beginning on Friday, guests will gather at the center to create a creepy craft and then hit the moon-lit trails for a series of skits and treat collecting. After, the evening winds down with a toasty campfire, live entertainment and a mini-fair full of ghoulish games.

Guided tours on the trails leave out every 10 minutes. The interactive skits are age-appropriate, comical and a bit educational, so you might even learn a little something during the event.

Bring a bag. You will need it for gathering all of the good snacks from trick-or-treating. Grab a cup of cider and a doughnut to complete the night. (And be sure to wear your costumes, since dressing up is part of the fun!)

Admission is $8 per person. Tickets sell based on particular time slots – and they sell fast. You must register for this event in advance. Times are as follows:

  • 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday
  • 4-8 p.m. Saturday
  • 3:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday
