City of Gibraltar Fourth of July Parade and Festivities

Bring your red, white and blue-clad family to Gibraltar July 3-4, 2017, for the city's 53rd annual parade, array of kids activities and more festive fun.

Celebrate the Fourth of July the good ol’ American way – with plenty of fun, food and patriotic hues – July 3-4, 2017 at the city of Gibraltar’s parade and festivities.

An icon as American as apple pie makes an appearance at this year’s big event: Elvis Presley! Greg Jaqua, a tribute artist, brings the King to life as a featured entertainer. You can also catch 10-piece band Full Speed Ahead and plenty of other musical acts.

This celebration includes many attractions sure to entertain your little ones, too. That includes a carnival complete with child-friendly rides and a petting farm, where kids can get friendly with their favorite barnyard animals like chickens, pigs and goats. Got a more adventurous animal lover on your hands? Pony rides are available for an unforgettable trot for your tot.

Once the kids are hungry from their fun-filled day, treat them to delicious concession food like hot dogs, pizza and hamburgers. Traditional carnival delicacies – elephant ears, cotton candy, etc. – are available throughout the carnival park.

Parents can catch a breather in the beer tent open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Tuesday July 4 – and catch a game of bingo that happens 12:30-6 p.m. that day inside the Gibraltar Community Center.

The first day, Monday July 3, only features the carnival from 3 to 10 p.m. and a performance by Full Speed Ahead at 6 p.m.

The second day, Tuesday July 4, begins with a parade at 10 a.m. that starts at the Gibraltar Community Center. Be sure to come early to ensure a parking spot and a good view of the parade. And come prepared with folding chairs – along with open hands ready to catch goodies being thrown by paraders and bags to stash all the candy you score. End the holiday with a must-see fireworks show beginning at dusk.

Parking is available for $3 behind the Gibraltar Community Center near the baseball field on Monday from 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
