Autumn is the perfect time to get outside and make memories with your family. From trunk-or-treating and bounce houses to live music, crafts and even princess meet-and-greets, these Rochester Hills–area festivals have something for everyone. Fall Festivals Near Rochester Hills

Art & Apples Festival

Friday, Sept. 5, 2025; 2–7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025; 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025; 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

  • Cost: Free admission; donations encouraged. Food and some activities may have additional cost.

Since 1965, the Art & Apples Festival has filled Rochester Municipal Park with more than 200 artists, live entertainment and plenty of food vendors. Families can enjoy the Meijer Kids Art Zone with free crafts, games, bounce houses and make-and-take projects. Glassblowing demos, artist workshops, and live music round out the weekend fun.

Festival of Trees

Preview Gala: Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025

Festival: Sunday, Nov. 23–Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025 (times TBA)

  • Address: Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn
  • Cost: Admission prices vary; check event website for details. Preview Gala requires separate ticket purchase.

The Festival of Trees brings holiday magic to Dearborn with beautifully decorated trees, family activities, and seasonal displays. The annual fundraiser supports the Children’s Foundation, with proceeds funding pediatric research and hospital equipment. Families can enjoy festive sights all week long, with a special Preview Gala held the evening before the festival opens.

Fall Festival

Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025; 4–5:30 p.m.

  • Address: University Presbyterian Church, 1385 S. Adams Road, Rochester Hills
  • Cost: Free admission; donations of candy or canned goods welcome.

Celebrate the season with trunk-or-treating, a bounce house, cider and donuts, temporary tattoos and even a petting zoo. Costumes are welcome, but keep them family-friendly for little ones. Donations of canned goods or candy are encouraged, and sign-up is required to decorate a trunk or table.

Fall Festival in the Woods

Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025; 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

  • Address: Hawk Woods Park and Campground, 3799 Bald Mountain Road, Auburn Hills
  • Cost: $5 per person; children under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.

Head to Hawk Woods Park for Auburn Hills’ 27th Annual Fall Festival in the Woods. Families can enjoy hayrides, bounce houses, crafts, yard games, live music, a guided hike and even a princess meet-and-greet. Cider, donuts and hot dogs will also be available. Registration is required.
