Candy Corn Parfait
Impress your little guests with this simple seasonal dessert. Layer mandarin orange slices on top of pineapple chunks in a clear plastic cup, top with whipped cream and crown with candy corn.
Puffy Paint Slip Stop
Give rug rats’ socks grip action with puffy paint. On the soles, dot two rows of paint – or zigzags if you’re feeling zany – and let dry. Helps halt slips and spills around the house.
Melted Crayon Pumpkin
Peel labels from 10-20 crayons and crack in half. Slop tacky glue around the stem of a pumpkin; stick down crayons, sunray style. Hit with a hair dryer until colors roll down sides. Do over plenty of paper and watch for splatter!
Wax Paper Zipper Fixer
Fall coat got a pesky zipper that keeps sticking? Try wax paper. Rip a piece and rub it on the zipper to lube it up. Fresh out? Bar soap, candles (unburned) and a bit of lip balm can also do the trick.
