Throughout jazz history, musicians have promoted racial equality and social justice through their music. Join jazz drummer and educator Sean Dobbins for civil rights music, including selections from Max Roach's Freedom Now Suite, at this family concert in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The concert will begin with full orchestral music performances by the Chelsea High School Orchestras, including wind and percussion players from the CHS band program. Following an intermission, the A2SO will take the stage under the direction of Maestro Arie Lipsky.
