Chocolate Extravaganza in Downtown Chelsea

Shop Chelsea’s annual Chocolate Extravaganza and get treats and goodies, just in time for Valentine’s Day. There will be events for kids, too.

Winter LoveFest

Feb. 10, 2024

• Address: Palmer Park, 910 Merrill Plaisance St., Detroit
• Cost: Free

Families can enjoy a pre-Valentine’s Day even that celebrates love and Black History in and around the historic Palmer Log Cabin. There will be live music, African dancing and drumming, art-making, hot cocoa, treats, games and prizes.

Teen Valentine Suncatchers

Feb. 13, 2024

• Address: MacDonald Public Library, 36480 Main St., New Baltimore
• Cost: Free | Register

Teens come can out to the library to create sun catchers using different colored glass gems and glue. All materials will be provided. Registration required.

Family-friendly activities 

Valentine’s Day is a great day to teach kids about love and there’s no better way to show love than by spending some quality time together as a family. 

One way you can get in some of that quality time is by making a craft to gift to other members of your family or your kid’s first crush.
