CoverKid, Talia, 6, of Harrison Township may look completely zoned out in front of the tube on the cover of the May 2014 Metro Parent, which touts our story about three southeast Michigan families who took a week-long challenge to “unplug” from the screens in their homes. But this animated Macomb County kid thinks she could survive the challenge herself – thanks to her “humungous cabinet” full of paper, crayons and other art supplies. Oh, and her Legos. And dress-up. And tea parties!
