Relax from Home with Soothe

If you want a massage but the thought of scheduling an appointment, driving to a spa and trying to mentally calculate a tip leaves you more stressed than before, there’s a new solution. Soothe, available in the metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas as of Jan. 12, is the latest in a long line of apps promising to make life easier. With the click of the “book now” button and an hour wait, a licensed and thoroughly vetted massage therapist arrives at your door. It also takes the guesswork out of tipping because – you guessed it – like Uber, there’s no tipping involved.

Soothe’s therapists bring a massage table, sheets, oils and music to create a spa experience from the comfort of home, and the hours are 8 a.m. to midnight daily. So put the kids to bed early and relax without leaving the house.

Cost: $99/60 minutes, $139/90 minutes, $169/120 minutes
