Michigan Kids Fest in Canterbury Village in Lake Orion

Are your kids ready to take a break from school and act like, well, kids? Bring them to the third annual Michigan Kids Fest at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion for a weekend of fun happening Sept. 20-21, 2014.

This two-day festival features kid-friendly events that your youngster is sure to enjoy, from pony rides to arts and crafts and plenty in between.

Rug rats can decorate the village streets with chalk, test their vocal talents at the kid karaoke party, ride on the train or in a monster truck, hang out with clowns or experience the mystery of a magic show. Plus there's a martial arts demonstration, petting zoo, workshops, bounce houses, a hay maze, food, games and more.

Parents, while your kiddos are hanging out and having fun, take advantage of some of the vendors who have set up shop during the fest.

Admission to the third annual Michigan Kids Fest is $10/child and $5/adult. Kids under 2 get in free, and three cans of food for donation to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan buys one free adult ticket. Parking is free. Tickets are available online through NEPTIX or at Canterbury Village.

Times are as follows:

  • Saturday: noon-6 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon-4 p.m.
