What is Dragon Forest?

Dragon Forest—running now through Sept. 7 at the Detroit Zoo—transforms a three-acre trail into a realm where dragons and other mythical creatures roam. Visitors can stroll through illuminated spaces, encounter more than 30 life-sized fantastical sculptures, and enjoy themed activities that spark imagination and wonder. It’s an opportunity to step into a world where fantasy and wildlife conservation intertwine.

Family-Friendly Fun

Designed with families in mind, Dragon Forest offers a safe and engaging environment for children and adults alike. The exhibit features interactive displays, photo opportunities and moments of awe that are perfect for creating lasting memories. Dragon Forest is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily. Tickets are $6 and required for entry. Purchase online for faster access. Kids two and under are free.
