Downtown Detroit Hosts the Holiday Onesie & Family Pajama Skate Party

Don your most festive matching PJs and hit the ice at The Rink at Campus Martius Park this Sunday.

Sunday Fundays are some of my favorite times to spend with family and friends. However, once the weather gets chilly, it can be difficult to put in the effort to bundle up and get out — especially when spending the day in your PJs sounds super inviting!

Torn between a lazy Sunday and making the most of your weekend? This Sunday, Nov. 24, we’ve partnered with the Downtown Detroit Partnership to host the Holiday Onesie & Family Pajama Skate Party. Families can roll out of bed in their pajamas and hit the ice for a memorable ice skating experience that’s just as exciting as it is cozy!

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 24, noon-4 p.m.
  • Where: The Rink at Campus Martius Park
  • Admission: $12/adult, $9/children 12 and under, $9/seniors 59 and older, $8/military and first responders

Following the 21st annual Detroit Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 22, the Holiday Onesie & Family Pajama Skate Party is just one of the many family-friendly holiday events happening in downtown Detroit this weekend. Christmas tunes will be playing, hot cocoa will be pouring and skaters can take in festive views of the Detroit Christmas tree and Campus Martius Park decked out in holiday decor as they glide across the ice.

If your family loves going all out, we’re upping the skates — erm, sorry, I meant stakes. The groups with the best themed outfits will receive a special prize.

Can’t make it to the PJ skate party? The festive fun at The Rink at Campus Martius Park continues every day (including holidays!) through March 2, 2025.
