Got a little racing-car fanatic on your hands? Make plans to attend the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix May 31-June 2, 2019, at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park for three days of action-packed fun.
Opening day – Friday May 31 – is free of charge, courtesy of Comerica Bank. Guests have access to seating in all grandstands.
Cheer on your favorite drivers with your little one during the seven races taking place on the 2.35-mile race track throughout the weekend. These races feature some top-of-the-line cars from the NTT Indycar series, the Trans Am series and more.
Be sure to bring kids to the Meijer Fan Zone, which is known for fun family-friendly activities like giant Jenga and Bubble Soccer; plus chances to meet some local athletes.
Catch a break from the action in the Bud Light Food Court and Beer Garden, featuring the Taste of Detroit and local food trucks.
And in between races, check out the art fair and live entertainment by Frankie Ballard, Stone Temple Pilots and many others.
General admission single-day tickets in grandstands four, six and seven are $45. Reserved single-day seating is $55-$90 for adults and $45-$80 for kids.
Two-day tickets are also available for $80in Grandstands four, six and seven. Reserved two-day seating is $150-$160 for adults and $140-$145 for kids.
Children under 12 get in free when accompanied by ticket-bearing adults (limit two children per adult). No refunds will be administered.
All attendees have access to the Fifth-Third Bank paddock.
Event times are as follows:
- Friday: 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Sunday: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Public parking is not available on Belle Isle during the Grand Prix, but it is available and recommended on the Cobo Hall roof and underground lots, GM Renaissance Center surface lots and parking garage, the Ford Underground and the Millennium and Beaubien Place garages.
Parking fees apply at most of these lots and run $10-$20 per vehicle.
A shuttle service is available in Detroit, Windsor and Ontario and is provided at no cost and runs until all guests are served. Check the shuttle and parking plan on the event’s website for boarding locations.
